About Me:

Studying Cultural Studies allowed me to explore my three main loves – art, culture, and the written word. I became heavily involved in the subcultural scene in Leeds, moonlighting as a DJ for a year or so. My social network developed globally as an offshoot of my love of travel, and to keep in touch I started blogging on various websites. While I was looking for a “real job”, either during school holidays or once I’d left university, I found myself naturally returning to my keyboard or notepad at the end of the day, and eventually decided to focus on this as a career. Since graduation, I have been working as a freelance writer and branding agent, focusing mainly on the Arts and New Media.

My day job is in Broadcast PR, which allows me to build my written portfolio, and network with artists across the world. I also organise “meet-up” events for the forum echoingthesound.org and the Verity PCOS community, and liaise with various subcultural communities across the UK.
