Enjoy London’s cinema under the stars as Film4 Summer Screen returns for ten nights. The magnificent Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court at Somerset House will once again be transformed into a full-scale open-air cinema with state of the art giant screen, 35mm projection and surround-sound.

The programme opens with a People’s Premiere of summer blockbuster: Hellboy II: The Golden Army, followed by an inspired programme of movie classics and recent favourites. Arrive early, relax and soak up the atmosphere before the film with good food, drinks and DJs. There is no fixed seating in the courtyard, but you are welcome to bring rugs, blankets or cushions to sit on (sorry no chairs!). Rugs will also be available to buy.

Screenings will continue except in extreme weather conditions. Age limits to all films apply according to certification – for double bill programmes this is restricted to the film of highest certification (e.g. 18).

Doors 18:30, DJs from 19:30, Film 21:15.
