London 2012 Olympic Soundtrack: A Decidedly Indie Playlist

Now that things have *officially* *legitimately* started to get under way, it’s worth giving a nod to the playlist Danny Boyle and Underworld have developed for the Games.  As this article from The Telegraph states, there’s no McCartney, Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, or anyone else featured at the Jubilee Concert.

This is a very British – and very guitar-led – playlist.  These are bands you would be more likely to see in the NME (you know, when it was good) than Smash Hits or Jackie.  And it reads even cooler than Paul Weller’s upturned denim collar.

Read the full playlist after the jump.
